STANDARD · GROUP COURSE
Standard. Group course, 20 academic hours per week.
Ready to learn how to speak, read, write and listen like an Italian? There's a class just waiting for you to begin.
We want your stay in Italy to be bellissima. By enrolling in our group course, we will help you develop the four communication skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking — so that you can express yourself fluidly with simple language. We have flexible study programs, designed for all levels: you can choose to follow a 20 academic hour program each week (Standard) or, if you have less time, only 10 academic hours (Light). Once you have decided on your study program, we will check your level with a test and place you in the most suitable group.
If you choose the STANDARD course: you will be followed by 2 teachers who, in addition to helping you learn Italian quickly, will help you fill in any gaps you have in your grammar and will look at the most difficult concepts in depth so that you will have a more thorough understanding of the language. With a course lasting 16 weeks or more you will be able to apply for a visa for Italy.
How the format works
Lessons
The lessons run from Monday to Friday. Every lesson is composed of 2 academic hours lasting 45 minutes each, for a total of 90 minutes.
Study option STANDARD: 20 academic hours per week (2 lessons per day).
Two teachers
Standard groups are followed by 2 teachers who alternate between conversation, grammar deep-dives, and the most difficult concepts. (Light groups have 1 teacher.)
Classes
Every class is composed of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 students, all of whom share the same language level as you. Currently active levels: from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2).
Visa eligibility
With a course lasting 16 weeks or more, Standard is study-visa eligible. (Same threshold as Light.)
Daily schedule
The week is built around two half-day options. Schedule is assigned at enrolment based on level group and capacity.

Who Standard is for
Standard is right for you if you have your days free to study (no full-time job during morning hours) and want the fastest measurable progression at the highest in-class hour count. Most of our 4–24 week students choose Standard.
If you have work or family commitments that prevent a full-time morning schedule, choose Light — also study-visa eligible, with the same documented weekly commitment, more flexibility, and a lower price. Both formats produce a valid study visa application.
How Standard combines with long-term planning
Standard is the engine of our long-term programs. A 3-month long-term program is essentially Standard run for 12 weeks; a 12-month program is Standard run across an academic year with level progression and CILS preparation built in.
